31 Weeks

Less than 2 months away from your due date little lady. I’ve been taking this time to improve and take care of myself. Learning to relax, going on daily walks, reading up on baby books, starting a personal cooking project and moving to our new home have proved to be very therapeutic during these challenging times. Feels good to be outside, get dressed and soak in whatever normalcy is healthy and safely allowed.

Chase and I stumbled across this boat in the Marina named, La Bella Vita... a phrase that my bestie and I got tattooed on the back of our necks (a million years ago). A sure sign that happier times are ahead! Stay optimistic friends, we will get through this together.

30 Weeks

✨ It’s ok not to feel ok ✨

Not going to lie, these past few weeks have left me with gut wrenching anxiety and nervous feelings that we’re bringing a baby into this world. Holy sh!t. From cancelled doctors appts, cancelled birthing classes, cancelled + postponed events, rethinking what hospital to deliver at, let alone the biggest fear (and most extreme case) having to give birth alone - I can’t do this alone. I feel guilty even having these thoughts considering people are losing their jobs, are separated from loved ones, battling this virus alone and dying. My heart breaks for everyone impacted by this cruel virus.

Overall, my first pregnancy has been so easy, positive and joyful. I’ve been lucky to be surrounded by an amazing support system and feel so blessed that baby girl is just, healthy. Feeling her move inside my belly and seeing Chase’s love for her grow everyday keeps me sane and strong. Even little moments like being outside in Napa at my parents property, getting some sun and being around Lola + Metzli (sister goats) have given me a sense of calming.

These are definitely scary and uncertain times but, I’m so so excited to be a new mom to this little lady. So a shoutout to all the expecting mamas out there, I feel you. Sending hugs, light and love to anyone that needs it. We got this.
